About Us
Yorkshire Surveyors Limited was founded in late 2009 by Robert J Newton-Howes, who is a Chartered Surveyor and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. Robert started his career in 1988 working for a mortgage lender, before going on to study Building Surveying at Leeds Metropolitan University. Before obtaining his Chartership in 2005 he had a career in property asset management and property lettings related disciplines.
After the financial crash of 2007, a clear need was established for reliable independent evidence- based valuations. This is what Yorkshire Surveyors does. We can provide valuations for you to obtain a redemption figure on your Help To Buy loan from Homes England, or we can provide tax valuations for HMRC probate purposes, or if you want to buy a larger share of your shared-ownership home from your Housing Association landlord, and many other purposes.
We became members of the Allied Surveyors network in 2013 and since then we have also been undertaking valuation reports for mortgage lenders including banks, building societies, and specialist buy-to-let lenders on anything from small studio flats, large Sui Generis HMOs, blocks of flats, and all sorts of dwellings across Huddersfield, Halifax, and the south Pennines.
